The Oldest Road

The course the modern day Ridgeway path has been in use for at least 5000 years. As the ancient Trackway the Icknield Way it can be traced from Hunstanton in Norfolk to the Bristol Channel. This series, shot mainly in Kodachrome, attempts to give a sense of the path as it reaches the northern end of the Chilterns
